About the show

At the premiere of Hedda Gabler in January 1891, Ibsen’s notorious protagonist shocked audiences when she ended her story with a bullet to the head. A little over 100 years later, Kurt Cobain, the face of 90s grunge band Nirvana, stupefied the world when he was found dead in his home with a shotgun across his body and a clear head wound. HEDDA, an original adaptation of Ibsen’s play, explores the social and psychological circumstances that drive some of the world’s most influential people to madness and even suicide.
