HERE supports the work of artists at all stages in their careers through fully-produced works, commissions and subsidized performance and rehearsal space. In addition, HERE's staff provides marketing, technical and administrative support. All work at HERE is curated based on the strength and uniqueness of the artist's vision.

HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP)

Through the HERE Artist Residency Program, HERE commissions and develops new hybrid and puppet works over a 1- to 3-year period. As part of the HERE community of artists and audiences, our residents show works-in-progress, develop workshop productions, and mount full–scale productions. Through our residency programs, HERE seeks to not only grow innovative artistic work, but also give artists the awareness and skills—in areas such as audience relations, budgeting, grantwriting, and touring—they need to continue to grow their careers.

Dream Music Puppetry

Through HERE's Dream Music Puppetry program, HERE commissions and develops new puppet works over a 1- to 3-year period. Visiting Artist

HERE presents work created by a broad variety of artists from different disciplines through our presenting program.

CULTUREMART is our festival of new hybrid work by Resident Artists, held annually in January, and is by invitation only.

As of December 2007, The American Living Room Festival has been suspended. Please check back in the summer of 2008 for new opportunities at HERE, or review the information in our "Supported Artists" area of the website.

Supported Artist

HERE provides artists with subsidized space and technical and administrative support through our Supported Artist Program. We accept applications from artists all over the world for the opportunity to show work in our Performance Spaces.
