SAWBONES & THE DIAMOND EATER Days of the Giants LLC
About the show
Directed by Tazewell Thompson, based on true stories by a second-generation surgeon, these are 2 new 1-acts set in 2 wars 100 years apart.
In SAWBONES, a rebel kid in a northern field hospital needs an amputation–FAST and infection takes no sides; in DIAMOND EATER, 2 jews, a doctor and a jeweler, outfox the Nazis and a “transplant” is successful.
SAWBONES was chosen by TACT, The Actors Company Theatre–Wall St. Journal’s “Company of the Year”) for its 2013 newTACTics New Plays Festival and DIAMOND EATER was chosen by LaMaMa in 2012 as part of its Concert Reading Series.
Join us for a talkback moderated by HERE's Resident Dramaturg Peter McCabe following the Wed, June 4 performace.
