Religious belief, past imprisonments, and military experiences color the perspective of adult males as they look back on their rites of passage to manhood. HARP alumnus James Scruggs returns to HERE six years after premiering Disposable Men, his multi channel video installation about NYC police shootings of unarmed black men. Fresh in development, Tickets To Manhood integrates text, movement, and video to examine the choices that boys make when turning into men, and the limits of intimacy in a world of masculinity.
