NATC presents HEARTbroke 2022: a festival of short plays for the broken. Think discounted Valentine’s Day cards and decorations, boxes of chocolate left desolate on dusty shelves, shattered human hearts laying trampled on the cold floor – “Clean up on aisle ‘love!’”

Program A

STANDING UP, by Jasmine Spiess. Dir. Mandy Murphy
A Tinder date no-show in an empty restaurant may lead to an unexpected alliance.

HEARD, by Arielle Beth Klein. Dir. Deb Offner
When two women confront the ambiguous intimacy they once shared, what was left unsaid might finally be said.

FOR MR. CUDDLES, Erin Moughon. Dir. Todd Butera
Mr. Cuddles has died. Is this a funeral to express Molly’s love for her cat, or an accusation of murder?

SENSE, by Serena Berman. Dir. Bryn Herdrich
Nothing says “I love you” like a romantic dinner blindfolded. Four senses. One culinary adventure.

BIBBIDI-BOBBIDI BOOS, by Allison Fradkin. Dir. Mia Y. Anderson
Hitherto, the Wicked Stepmother has been perceived as a menace to high society. Is she really a mainstream menace or, as the Fairy Godmother suspects, a lavender menace?

Featuring Carla Briscoe, Perryn Pomatto, Rook Mogavero, Jennifer Downes, Mandy Murphy, Monica Rey, Ruthie Rado, Saadiq Vaughn, Starr Kirkland, Elizabeth Jasicki, Marie-Eléna O’Brien.

Wednesday, March 9th – 8:30pm
