My Favorite Person
Can true love exist if it is not rooted in truth? We watch a couple move together in an ecstatic and painful attempt to see things as they are, navigating a journey they hope will pull them closer to loving each other… or at least closer to loving themselves. The piece calls into question the needs of the self, and asks if those needs have been forgotten. Is it possible to incite violence in an otherwise loving relationship, just by forsaking the self? My Favorite Person is directed by Polina Ionina, and devised by the company featuring David Glover and Tana Sirois, with assistant direction by Weronika Helena Wozniak.
