Before You Join Us for Communion
Hello HERE Friends!
Thank you for joining us for Communion, an experimental video art response to the isolation and uncertainty we are all facing as artists and humans in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis. Conceived by Janessa Clark, Communion features 40 incredible artists and 8 accomplished composers.
Please note: there are no live performers present for this installation. Please be aware that this is a standing event with limited seating. No food or drink will be permitted. Also note that there will be no coat or bag check, so please travel light.
Communion runs 50 minutes in total and will be shown in person at HERE in Manhattan (directions below). You can view the order of videos presented by clicking on the “additional information” tab here.
We take your safety very seriously. To ensure a generous amount of social distancing, only a maximum of 25 audience members will be permitted at each appointment. All audience members will be required to fill out our Health Questionnaire (bit.ly/herehealth) on the date of their performance and will have their temperature taken upon arrival. All visitors will be required to wear a face covering at all times while they are at HERE. In addition, all surfaces are being sanitized on a regular basis. You can learn more about what HERE is doing to keep you safe by visiting our Reopening Plan (reopening.here.org).
There must be community participation in order to fight the spread of the virus, and we all must take personal responsibility both to protect ourselves and our community from infection. To this end, it is with full awareness that you agree to abide by HERE’s Community Agreement here.
If you do not plan to attend this in-person event for whatever reason, we completely understand. Please let us know at tickets@here.org.
More information about HERE’s current & upcoming programming, including other virtual and IRL* opportunities can be found here.
We hope you stay healthy, safe, engaged, and hopeful!
