Puppetopia 2024: The Adventures of Curious Ganz

FEB 27-MARCH 2

A scientist is born! From the very beginning of time, our hero Ganz is Curious. Is the Earth flat? Are the stars fixed? How does metal hide in stone? His investigations and inventions bring him to the attention of Queen Lizzy the First, a fellow adventurer if only she could escape her skirts. The Adventures of Curious Ganz is a fictitious story based on the true life of 16th-century copper smelter Joachim Ganz with a little leap to Ada Lovelace, Galileo, Al-Buzanji, Brunelleschi… A response to the closing of borders and narrowing of minds this show is a celebration of the new, the strange, the brave, and the curious! Told without words through design, table-top puppetry, and original music, all wildly based on the principles of alchemy.
Great for audiences 8 and up.

The Adventures of Curious Ganz was first performed in July 2018 and co-produced at Little Angel Theatre, London in October 2018 with support from Little Angel Theatre and Arts Council England.
