Sonnambula
Lavender, cedar, must and gaudy perfume. Sonnambula is a multi-modal work that plunges beneath the surface of Vincenzo Bellini’s melodious opera “”La Sonnambula””. The sensorial meta journey zooms into the clouded consciousness of the sleepwalker through puppetry, dance, smell, and a distilled arrangement of live vocals and cello.
Sonnambula is a Dream Music Puppetry Presentation.
Sonnambula is produced through the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP), which provides commissions, development and full production support. With support in part with public funds from the Manhattan Community Arts Fund, supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and administered by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Sonnambula received a Seed Grant from The Jim Henson Foundation and early developmental support through the St. Ann’s Warehouse Puppet Lab.
