COVID Programming

We were HERE, There, and Everywhere through 2020-21! Audiences all around the world joined us virtually and IRL, for creativity in many forms – premieres, new writing, videos, songs, and other musings for this challenging moment. We shared the work of our HARP artists and Alum, HEREart artists, HERE staff, and our community (you!).

Back in July 2020, we began premiering new outdoor works hyper-locally around the city – as part of #stillHERE: IRL! And through 2021, we continued to offer #stillHERE: Online, Digital Premieres and Artist Livestreams from our artist community.

Check out our archives below to see what kind of COVID Programming HERE had available.

HEREArt

Artful Post is a physical, community-built HEREart project that used the USPS to connect audacious visual artists with art lovers around the country.

At the onset of the pandemic we introduced #COVIDEO, a sequential community-built video of art-making in the time of the coronavirus. A community of artists and audiences came together to independently create ten seconds of video art. Each day, one section was created in response to the previous ten seconds and was released on our Instagram and Facebook Stories. After ten days, the sections were strung together into one video and published on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

In total, 171 artists participated in 16 COVIDEOS. Please enjoy them here.
